Research Project 1 (15.5%)

Introduction

In the content and readings and viewings, I have told you exactly what I want. For research project 1, I want you to pick something that interests you!

You will profile a weapon from prehistory to the early 1900s, and you will address the development, use, and importance of this weapon.

You'll write a paper of 4-5 pages (including citations and works cited) or do an 8 to 10 minute VIDEO lecture (be sure to see my guidelines).

You should have at least four (4) strong sources (1 from the library) and a minimum of six (6) citations.

Possible Topics

If you're at a loss for topics, here are some starting points. Please note that for some of these, you'll have to narrow down the scope by location or timeframe. For example, you cannot effectively discuss Chinese and European crossbows for this project, so choose one region.
